I’m classing a ‘Milestone Shirt’ as one which has been embroidered (or by alternative means) with either match and/or player details, in a unique or custom way. If you know of an occasion that you think I have missed, please make me aware and I will get it added to the ever growing list.
1964
Challenge Cup Final – Hull KR 5-13 Widnes – 9th May 1964 – Wembley Shirt
Hull KR wore red shirts with a white turnover collar. The shirts had a white patch that containing a HKR crest and “Wembley 1964” embroidery. Each player likely only had one shirt embroidered.
1979-80
Challenge Cup Final – Hull FC 5-10 Hull KR – 3rd May 1980 – Home Shirt
Hull KR wore standard home shirts, with cup final game detail embroidery under the crest “RL Cup Final Wembley 1980”. Each player likely only had one shirt embroidered.
